Mikvah Mei Menachem – Women's Mikvah

Experience the beauty of this special Mitzvah in the privacy and intimacy of a tastefully decorated Mikvah. Our Mikvah is flawlessly maintained, fully equipped, and beautifully appointed to make your visit a pleasurable one.

A mikvah (or mikveh) is a place used for ritual immersions. A proper mikvah contains a minimum of 40 SE'AH (about 87 gallons) of undrawn water (not filled by bucket or by metal pipes). In general, if there are more than 40 SE'AH, then the remainder of the water may come from any source. Natural lakes, whether or not fed by streams or rivers, qualify. However, these waters may be inaccessible or dangerous and have problems of inclement weather and lack of privacy. Jewish life therefore requires the construction of mikvahs and this has been done in every age and circumstance. Indoor mikvahs, such as the new mikvah at the Peltz Center for Jewish Life, may thus be used if they meet stringent halachic standards.

Our mikvah is beautiful and aesthetic. It is located in the Peltz Center for Jewish Life.

The mikvah is available for women most evenings. Reservations by appointment only. Please call for an appointment 48 hours in advance. The preparation room is fully equipped to make your visit a pleasurable one. The private number to make reservations is (414) 745-9558.

For women, rates will be issued in the near future. Annual membership fees will be available and encouraged. In the interim, the suggested fee for ladies is $18/visit.

The (separate) men's Mikvah is open every morning from 6:00 to 6:45 AM. Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM to 45 minutes before Mincha. Shabbos mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. After 9:30, the Mikvah will be locked.

The Mikvah will be open for men before Yom Kippur from 10:00 AM until 5:30 PM.

The cost of using the Mikvah (for men) on Erev Shabbos is $3.00, $4.00 on holidays, and $5.00 on Erev Yom Kippur. Annual membership to the Mikvah for men is $100.00, this allows you to use the Mikvah as often as you wish.

Children (under the age of Bar Mitzvah) are not allowed in the Mikvah unattended.

By appointment only (call 262-242-2235), the mikvah is available for dipping dishes on most Sundays. Please clean the dishes from all dust and packaging residue before arriving.
